Mini-Pupillage

Chambers expects to offer around 30 mini-pupillage places each year. Minis at Essex Court Chambers are not assessed and the application consists solely of a written application. Applications for a mini-pupillage with Essex Court Chambers will open in October 2024, and this is the same each year.

Pupillage

Essex Court Chambers evaluates how many pupils they take on each year, but in 2024 they made 6 offers. Although not a mandatory part of chambers application process, anyone considering applying for pupillage is strongly encouraged to apply beforehand for a mini-pupillage.

Chamber's recruits exclusively through the Pupillage Gateway.

Pupillage Award

Chamber's pupillage award is £75,000 of which £23,000 may be drawn down for Bar Course fees.
